The Pennys were an Australian folk/roots band, originally formed in Mittagong, New South Wales in 2008 as a project between vocalist/guitarist Sam Hemmings and harmonica player/backing vocalist Scott Hammerton. The project was originally a two piece called LemonTree, before expanding into a full-band project and relocating to Wollongong.
