According to Danny Kelly, on the sleeve notes to the 'Waiting for Ann' E.P., The Man From Del Monte are among the best bands to be named after fictional fruit buyers. Twenty years later it is safe to say that they are best band so named. Again the E.P. gives the band as comprising Howard Goody, Sheila Seal, Martin Vincent and Mike West although if you ever saw them live they could really punch above their weight.
