The Highwaymen was a four-member outlaw country supergroup formed in 1985. Its members included Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson. The band's debut single "Highwaymen" became a number-one hit single on the US and Canadian Country Music charts. The band's similarly named debut studio album also reached number one on the US country charts. Before disbanding in 1995, the group released two other albums: "Highwaymen 2" (1990) and "The Road Goes On Forever" (1995). In addition to "Highwaymen", other charting singles from the foursome included "Desperados Waiting for a Train" and Silver Stallion." With Kristofferson's death on September 29, 2024, Willie Nelson became the last living member of The Highwaymen.
