The Degenerates Concert History

"The Degenerates" were a punk band from Houston circa 1979-1982. Wade Driver, later of The Hickoids and many other projects was on drums, Kenny Coffman guitar, and T Kiersted on bass. The Degenerates played routinely with Butthole Surfers, Big Boys, Dicks, Really Red, MyDolls, and other Austin/Houston axis bands, as well as on the bill with Angelic Upstarts and other touring acts. They were the youngest band on the punk scene - at the first show Wade was just barely 14 and Kenny, the oldest, only 17.
