McCarty has wowed live audiences and television audiences alike through his already impressive career. As early as 1998, McCarty demonstrated his confidence on stage when he was a runner-up in the Conan O’Brien College Band Search. In 2002, he performed at Gator Growl for a capacity crowd of 50,000 people when he opened for Sugar Ray.
