The Cannonball Johnsons are a Dutch folk/blue grass quartet from Leiden consisting of Gosse van Bemmel; Vocals, Bass, Accordion, Percussion, Thijs van Bemmel; Vocals, Mandolin, Guitar, Bass, Wesley Fransen; Vocals, Banjo, Guitar, Bottleneck Slide Guitar, Harmonica, Milo Schemkes; Vocals, Guitar, Harmonica, Banjo, Bass. They started out busking in the streets of their hometown but within a few years were touring Ireland, playing festivals such as Zwarte Cross and opening for their hero's The Hackensaw Boys as well as singer-songwriter Blaudzun.
