Formed in 2007 by front man and singer/songwriter, Mark Cunningham, The Burning Angels were born out of the Athens, GA Americana music scene. The music of the band is told through a southern gothic weaving of acoustic and electric instruments. In 2009, The Burning Angels entered acclaimed producer John Keane's studio (R.E.M., Indigo Girls, Widespread Panic) in Athens for their debut self-titled album.
