The Blood Group is SUNY-Purchase students James Jackson Toth (who co-runs the independent record label Polyamory), Jessica B (a former soap opera actress), Jarvis Tavvs, and Josh Taht (who used to be in the Radiation Kings).They released their debut Everything Forgotten Gathers at the Ceiling, which featured Mercury Rev members and underground hip-hop DJ NASA in 2001 on Le Grand Magistry. Volunteers came out in 2002. Later, Toth formed the freak-folk group Wooden Wand.
