The Base is a three piece indie rock band from Graz, Austria. Formed in 1989, the band is now composed of Norbert Wally (vocals, guitar), Karlheinz Miklin jun. (drums, backup vocals), and Albrecht “Albee” Klinger (bass, backup vocals). Klinger replaced Heinz Nussbaumer in 2002.
