The Archbishops Concert History

Formed in 2004, The Archbishops are an instrumentally solid modern rock combo, reminiscent of the talent of the mid-80's (and again of the late 90's, and now at the middle aughts) that felt a certain way at the confluence between underground and mainstream-- tight grooves, contrapuntal guitars, and oozing synthesizers. Dabbling in dance and funk but never straying far from an accessible post-punk sheen, The Archbishops namecheck the Smiths, Elvis Costello, Gang of Four and Sonic Youth as some of their diverse, tasteful influences.
