That Was Then is a hardcore band from Memphis, TN. The music is fast and at times almost melodic, inspired by the greats of old (Gorilla Biscuits, Warzone) and their fellow contemporaries from Memphis (Clenched fist, Bury The Living) that are rewriting that scenes musical history to this day. Despite its rich musical heritage, Memphis has never been known as a mecca for hardcore and punk. Nevertheless, over the years there have been a number of individuals that have banded together to keep Memphis hardcore active.
