Born in Washington DC in 1993, Montel Yancy aka Telly has been rapping since he was 12 years old. His mother is a poetess and he was raised listening to music from his mother and sister as a child. Well versed in music from various artists, from The Stylistics to Biggie and Big L to Earth, Wind & Fire, his knowledge and love for music goes further than just rap music. Known for his complex metaphors and punchlines and ever changing flow, he dropped his first mixtape entitled "Teen Martian: Year of the Droid" in 2010.
