Born to a family of connoisseurs he first took his talim from the none other than Late Kenai Dutta and after his demise Tanmoy became a Gandabandh Shagird of none else than Pandit Shankar Ghosh. His continuous association with Pt Ravi Shankar and Utstad Amjad Ali Khan confirms his mastery over his subject. His own creation DHWANI based on virtues of Indian rhythmic nuances created a stir 15 years back.
