Tango Orkestret is a well established Copenhagen, DK-based quintet playing modern tango. The band has been performing since 1989. The repertoire includes many of Astor Piazolla's works, but the group has also added their own compositions, and influences go beyond tango proper. The group cites as influences jazz, rock, samba, salsa and oriental music.
