Sweet Potato Pie is an all-female band that plays bluegrass, country and Gospel. Their music has been coined "sweetgrass". Members include Sonya Stead, Crystal Richardson, Katie Springer and Sandy Whitley. Amusingly, they are sponsored by the North Carolina Sweet Potato Growers.
