Steve Goldberg and the Arch Enemies, a chamber-pop ensemble from Philadelphia, have been gently rocking faces since 2007. They deftly combine the lush arrangements and dramatic sweep of the Romantic composers with the melodicism and song forms of classic pop and top it off with a healthy dose of wit and cynicism. While packing no shortage of enthusiasm, hooks, and ear candy, SG&tAE songs are truly meant for the lone, headphones-wearing listener, sitting in their room and contemplating the nature of existence.
