Neil Jackson, Jeff Dunegan, and Chris Goodman formed the trio upon the demise of previous bands in late 2005. With Neil's new songs inspired by the breakup of his band and resulting family conflict, the band had a strong catalog from the beginning. After playing just a few shows together, the band was invited to perform a track on Rocket 13's accompilation disk and a band name was needed. They finally decided to call themselves Steel Standing, because they were still standing strong...
