Trupa Spitalul De Urgenta s-a infiintat in anul 2001 cind Dan Helciug, fondatorul si "motorul" trupei l-a intilnit pe culoarele Facultatii de teatru din Bucuresti pe Vali Craciunescu. Ei s-au imprieteni si au inceput sa cinte impreuna. Apoi i-au cooptat pe Adrian Chepa, Catalin Dalvarea si Viorel Preda si au luat numele de Spitalul de Urgenta.
