Spacehead was formed in 1994 by former Krel member "Mr. Dibs". The project was initially intended to be a solo endevour, however unexpected interest in the first cassette release inspired him to put a full band together, and four more cassettes followed. Mr. Dibs and Phil Howard (Cellular Structure, and now PXR-1) gigged the early material as a two-piece with drum loops, eventually recruiting drummer Paul Boers from Holland to record an album for Hawkwind's Emergency Broadcast System, ".
