In 2005 Amanda Epperson auditioned for a band and was turned down because her vocal melodies and lyrics did not fit the band she was auditioning for. She decided to start her own band and call it Sorrow of Her Evil, and recruited a friend she'd had since childhood, Alan Starns, to play bass. He agreed and was eager to start the project, he got a brand new bass--and then there were two.
