Born and raised in Fairfax, Virginia, Sophia Bass began to show interest in composing music on the piano at age six. From Classical to Jazz to Latin compositions, her original pieces were varied and passionate. For several years in a row as a pre-teen, Sophia was a winner in the Alma Grayce Young Composer Competiton in Northern Virginia.
