Solar Fire Trio Concert History

Solar Fire Trio were formed in 2005 by former Spiritualized saxophonist Ray Dickaty and fellow saxer Dave Jackson. The premise was to combine the unhinged spirit of free jazz with the rhythmic weight of rock music. After trying out several drummers (including Chris Corsano and Philip Marks), the band finally found their man in skinsman Steve Belger. Their self-titled debut was released on vinyl by Invada Records in a limited edition of 500, and was voted "Album of the Month" for October 2006 by Julian Cope.
