Sleepy Horses began in a living room in Lubbock, TX. Colt Miller, Amanda Shires and Nic Goodson began recording lush West Texas folk...this project became Sleepy Horses. Within a few months Nic Goodson moved to Athens, Ga.....There he began to play solo under the Sleepy Horses moniker and later would add several other members including Jason Peckham, Brandi Goodson, Jim Wilson, Kyle Harris, and Matt "Pistol" Stoessel...with this larger lineup in place, the band bagan to tour extensively throughout the Southeast, East Coast, and thry the West.
