Shark Matter is an American band from Chicago Illinois formed in the summer of 2008. Shark Matter sometimes spontaneously combusts in the clamor they create when they take to the stage, metaphysically. The music produced can be sharp and hard like diamonds then the dynamics can melt down to a soft hot chrome. Self described as bluesy punk and sad sack, their debut recording the Chum Bucket EP was released in 2009 on their own Phony Caca Records label.
