The group organized by autumn of 1998 in St.-Petersburg. At that time the command referred to Airbag and musical influnces for that moment were Pearl Jam and early Radiohead. A result of this period in history of collective became pair amateur records and some concerts. The beginning of 2000 has brought to group some changes in structure of and the new name - Ty Cobb. Also the musical component of group has a little changed - music became heavier and aggressive.
