Scott was born and raised in a working class area of Syracuse NY. His musical adventures began at 16 when he formed a band with two school friends called Seratonin. They would practice in the projects with the windows open so the whole neighborhood could enjoy (they thought) their versions of Metallica songs. Scott spent a lot of time in his room just running scales and building speed which he felt was necessary as a metal guitarist.
