American Idol was responsible for launching the careers of Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Chris Daughtry, while X Factor (UK) brought us Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke and JLS. Through YouTube, Esmee Denters performed covers of Justin Timberlake's music; eventually allowing her to become the first artist signed to his label, Tenman Records (in association with Interscope Records).
