Ronald Shannon Jackson Concert History

Ronald Shannon Jackson (born January 12, 1940, died October 19, 2013) was a jazz drummer. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas. Jackson has performed with a number of jazz pioneers, including pianist Cecil Taylor, and saxophonists Ornette Coleman and Albert Ayler. More recently, he also founded his own band, The Decoding Society and played in Last Exit. He has recorded with Charles Tyler, Bill Frisell, James Blood Ulmer, Billy Bang, Albert Mangelsdorff, Robin Eubanks, Byard Lancaster, Eric Person, and James Carter.
