Rod Wave (born Rodarius Marcell Green, August 27, 1998, in St. Petersburg, Florida) is a26 year-old hip-hop/R&B singer-songwriter, widely recognized for popularizing the soul-trap genre which incorporates traditional elements of soul music with heavier, hardcore trap beats. Wave rose to fame with the 2019 single "Heart on Ice," which went viral on YouTube and TikTok and peaked at number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was the lead single from his debut studio album "Ghetto Gospel," also released in 2019. "Ghetto Gospel" landed at number 10 on the US Billboard 200. His second album "Pray 4 Love" reached the second spot while his next three, "SoulFly" (2021), "Beautiful Mind" (2022), and "Nostalgia" (2023), each peaked at number one. Some of his Rod Wave's top 25 hit singles include "Tombstone," "Street Runner," "Fight the Feeling," Call Your Friends, "Come See Me, "Alone" and "Richer" (featuring Polo G)
