Formed in Portland, Maine in 2002, Rocktopus featured former Rustic Overtones keyboardist Spencer Albee along with Zach Jones on guitar, Brian Higgins on drums and Pat "Hache" Hodgkins on bass. In 2004 Higgins was replaced by Andrew Hodgkins (no relation to Pat) and the band changed their name to As Fast As.
