Recess Theory Concert History

Before emo hit the mainstream, there was a quiet place in Florida where some of the best bands were brewing. Chris Carraba had joined Shai Hulud/Strongarm members to form Further Seems Forever, and The Recess Theory (who had already released a split with Reflector in 1998) were invited to perform on their first release, a split single called From the 27th State, which appeared on Takehold Records in 1999, the same year The Recess Theory dropped their one-and-only album, They Would Walk into the Picture.
