Pray tv was formed in a west essendon garage in the late 1980s- a nowhere part of a town at the end of the earth. With a shared interest in the darker side of pop music, they produced 4 albums before their inevitable demise in the mid-nineties, when their sound had passed from being pre-fashionable to post-fashionable, and youthful defiance had given way to 30 year olds resignation. They played new York and Los Angeles before playing anywhere else in australia, besides the 5 or 6 filthy pubs in Melbourne that would have them.
