Formed in 1972, Petra is considered to be one of the first Christian rock bands and helped to popularize the contemporary Christian music genre. Despite several hiatuses and many changes in the band's lineup, Petra has released 19 studio albums and dozens of singles including the chart-topping "The Coloring Songs," More Power to Ya," "Not By Sight," "Beat the System," "Don't Let Your Heart Be Hardened," "First Love," "Prayer," "Hand on My Heart," "Just Reach Out," "Marks of the Cross," and many others.
