Perfect Disaster's 1989 Concert History

Brighton 4-piece in late 80s/early 90s. Mix of short two-chord blasts, long songs with a repetitive indie groove, experimental songs with cello parts, and some jangly guitar. LPs Asylum Road, Ups, and Heaven Scent. Jo Wiggs (bass/backing vox) was later in The Breeders. Jon Mattock (drums) was later in Spacemen 3. Lyrics influenced by Phil Parfitt's (vox/guitar) job as psychiatric nurse. Parfitt and Dan Cross (guitar/backing vox) did most of the songwriting. Vocals alternate between full throated bark and delicate semi-spoken.
