Led by Pierre-Luc Bégin (Polipe, We are Wolves), visual artist Julia Daigle and actor / composer Éliane Préfontaine, Paupière displays a rare sincerity, combining raw lyrics and an uncompromised musicality. Their songs unfold at the junction of their numerous influences, inspired by the Montreal expat music scene (Arcade Fire), as well as the synthetic sounds of France in the 80s (Eli et Jacno).
