The alt-country southern rock pride of Raleigh, North Carolina, the band consists of guitarist Marc E. Smith, Ex-Whiskeytown drummer Skillet Gilmore, bassist Jesse James Huebner and front man and songwriter J. Chris Smith. Their debut album was 2002's Beestinger Lullabies, their sophomore album Too Crowded on the Losing End surfaced in 2006. A series of EPs followed.
