P.A.W.N.S. (an acronym meaning Power And Wealth Need Slaves) is frenetic, funny and tight, playing unusual anarcho punk music with amazing tag team female/male vocals and a sound like Crass hitting the Avengers with X’ s van. This band out of Santa Cruz writes satirical songs about technology, hypocrisy, religion, consumerism, suicide, war and the daily grind, among other things. This new CD gives an excellent near-political summation of what the fuck is wrong with the world today...
