Following the demise of Five Thirty, guitarist Paul Bassett formed Orange Deluxe in October 1992: a mod revival, early Britpop band of the 1990s. Bassett recruited his brother Rob on bass, drummer Keith McCubbin and guitarist Ian Copestake to complete the line-up. The band self-released two cassettes in 1993 before releasing five singles and two albums on the Dead Dead Good label. The albums were: Necking (1995) and Vodka Doughnuts and Dole (1996).
