Gregg "Opie" Hughes was a mid-level FM jock in the Boston and New York area. Anthony Cumia was a gig band singer destined for stardom. The two met when Opie played Anthony's parody song on his Nighttime Attitude show on Long Island radio station WBAB. Anthony would visit the studio several more times. Opie was impressed with his quick wit and natural ability with vocal impersonation and impression. The first Opie and Anthony show aired on March 27th 1995. The duo has been a high-profile talk radio show ever since.
