Although they placed a poignant and genre-defying spin on L.A. hip-hop for over a decade, Of Mexican Descent (2Mex and Xololanxinxo) remain relatively obscure to mainstream fans. The duo's 1997 vinyl-only EP, Exitos y Mas Exitos, however, has become a benchmark of underground hip-hop in Los Angeles' post-Goodlife Cafe era.
