Nathan Bowles is an American multi-instrumentalist, musician and teacher living in Durham, NC, United States. As of July 2024 he released four studio albums credited to Nathan Bowles, a 2021 collaboration with Bill Mackay and, in July 2024, an album called Are Possible, credited to the Nathan Bowles Trio: "a spark-throwing, undulating fusion of styles played (mainly) on banjo, upright bass and drums, made possible by the individual perspectives of Nathan, double-bassist Casey Toll and drummer Rex McMurry".
