Steffeny "Steffo" Messinger refers to her pseudonym/moniker "My Parents Favorite Music" for the video game and pop culture influenced music she writes, produces, and records independently. Created in 2000 and through many different variations over the years, MPFM has released 5 albums independently. With topics ranging from silly and simple like coffee and robots, to topics as dark and complex as lost loved ones and the duality of self, all backed by familiar pixelated soundtracks.
