Begun as a side project for Montreal musician Mike Wray, Mixylodian has always involved myriad guests and collaborators, and once toured in two-piece electro format, but is usually a band with at least four people. They make excitable indie pop that blends hook laden melodies with layers of analog synths and boy-girl harmonies to create dense, slightly left-field, intricate yet catchy music.
