Mitú is what sounds like the meeting between Julián Salazar (guitarist of Bomba Estéreo) and Franklin Tejedor (son of that legendary percussionist of San Basilio de Palenque known as "Lámpara"). Here the tribal rhythms of traditional Colombian percussion become deep beats of continental electronics; all framed in a postmodern ritual of porro, jungle, cumbia and synthpop of the full contemporary jungle.
These are photos from concerts where mitú played, so they may be of other bands that played the concert as well.
