Miss Pelican is a experimental rock-jazz fusion band from New York. They got their start in spring 2008, writing the 6 songs that would eventually find their way onto the band's first EP, A Billion Birds. This freshmen effort spans over 20 minutes through a complex web of jazzy guitar chords, flowing alto sax and horn melodies, and aggressive bass and drum sounds. The music is technical, but not overwhelming, loud yet not overbearing.
