Mika Male were formed by the songwriter Orlan Tus (vocals, guitar, piano) and Majda Bojić (violin) at the beginning of the 21st century in Zagreb, Croatia. The group of kindred spirits now also includes Ivan Žigo (electric guitar), Lucija Potočnik (bass) and Igor Bušljeta (drums). Mika Male were mostly influenced by such bands as Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Tindersticks and Dirty Three. Their main goal is to make atmospheric, cinematic music with meaningful lyrics. They are at times very melodic but don't back away from musical chaos.
