De roots van Midnight Run go back a loooong, loooong time. Als spin-off van een aantal workshops bij stichting Pop-ei richtte Pascal de band in 1990 al op. De lead vocals waren op dat moment nog vrouwelijk. Joris en Lambèr waren de eersten van de huidige bezetting die de toenmalige drummer en bassist kwamen vervangen. Vervolgens werden de twee dames -Claudia (op zang) en Rian (op sax)- ingeruild voor één mannelijk showbeest: Ger. Niet al te lang daarna verliet toetsenist Mario de band.
