Meat Joy was a mid 80s punk/post punk/art punk band from Austin, Texas. Members included Jamie Lee Hendrix, Melissa Cobb Unit, John Hawkes (under the name John Boy Perkins), Tim Pierre Mateer and Gretchen Phillips. Their only releases were a 1984 self titled LP on Flesh and Blood records and tracks featured on Matako Mazuri records "'Metal Moo Cow" & "'Bands on The Block" comps.
