Matthew Thiessen and the Earthquakes is the side project of Matthew Thiessen, lead singer/guitarist/keyboardist of the band Relient K. The name is a joke in itself [reflecting Matty's witty, cheesy but fun sense of humor] because there are no "Earthquakes;" this is a project composed simply of Matt Thiessen and his piano. Around since 1998, Matthew Thiessen has not released an entire album but has found his way onto several compilations, including the June 27, 2006 release of My Other Band, Vol.
