Billed as somewhat of a supergroup, Mastersystem were founded by members of Frightened Rabbit, Minor Victories, and Editors in 2016. Scott Hutchinson and his brother Grant of Frightened Rabbit met Editors' Justin Lockey and his brother and Minor Victories bandmate James in Berlin, where the side-project was born.
